Day 1: Fly into Sara Airport in North Pentecost. Visit Lini Botanical Garden and graveyard, and learn about the history of Vanuatu’s Father of Independence. Later visit his birthplace and home village where he grew up. There will be traditional dances and activities, kava traditional preparation, cooking, mat and basket weaving displays etc. Full traditional activities and custom dances showcasing the cultures. Day 2: Morning boat ride to the Southern tip of Maewo Island to the beautiful Asanvari Bay. Check-in at Mule Ocean View Guesthouse, refreshments later and a tour of Munga Underwater cave. Dress too wet for the experience of your lifetime diving into an underwater cave and coming out into the ocean. Take a village tour to Barnabas Snorkelling tour. Dive the Asanvari Bay to see the different types of fishes, reefs are said to be some of the most beautiful in the world. In fact, some of the reefs are never seen anywhere else in the world. Snorkelling ended with the Lawai Sparkling Waterfall, enjoying the sunset and local entertainment overlooking Ambae Island on the horizon. Locally prepared food for dinner, souvenirs etc…

Day 3: Check out around 7 am and a boat ride to the Moon Cave in Nasawa. The Moon Cave is believed to be the location where the ancient/traditional God (Tagaro) hide the moon and the whole day turn into darkness. History and stories of the first humans, traditional dances and activities. Refreshments/light lunch then later cross over to Ambae Island. 30 minutes or more boat ride. Vehicle pickup at Lolowai Harbour to your Guesthouse house in Ambanga, North Ambae. Visit the locals, and have some rest. Check-In Manaro Gateway Guesthouse or Erick’s Homestay.

Day 4: Trek to Manaro Lakes and Volcano. A full day’s hiking and trekking to Manaro Forest Reserve. Around 12Kms Trekking and around 5 hours trek. Camping In Manaro. Tour Guide briefing with visitors before exploring the environment. Ambae people believe Manaro is where to go after death and their resting place.

Day 5: Explore the uniqueness of Manaro. A sacred home for the people of Ambae after death. Visit the active Volcano, explore the environment and so forth. 1000hrs start trekking back to Ambanga. Another 4 -5 hours trekking down. Transport will be waiting for your trip to Saratamata. You will do the Hot Water Floating Massage on the way to Saratamata. A full body massage to calm your trekking muscles and cool down your body. Check In Accommodation is Lemus Guesthouse and Bungalows.

Day 6: Check out. Breakfast will be served at the Lemus restaurant around 0700am. Check-out time is 0900hrs. Airport transfers will pick up around 0930 to the airport for your flight check-in and departure.
